Margaret Olson Once Again Selected for Utah's Legal Elite
Margaret Olson has been selected by Utah Business Magazine, once again, as a member of their "Legal Elite," as a criminal defense attorney.
Hobbs & Olson Recognized as "Best Law Firm"
The law firm of Hobbs & Olson has received recognition in the 2011 - 2012 U.S.News - Best Lawyers® "Best Law Firms" rankings, in the field of Litigation -- Labor and Employment. These rankings are defined by practice area, both nationally and by metropolitan areas. Hobbs & Olson is one of a very select few small firms in Utah to receive this honor.
Recent Successful Criminal Trial Outcome
On June 9, Margaret Olson successfully defended a client whom had been charged with three child-abuse related crimes. Counts 2 and 3 were stricken at the close of the evidence, when the court granted Margaret's motion. Thereafter, the Jury returned a Not Guilty verdict to Count 1 after deliberating less than 30 minutes.

Lincoln Hobbs recently presented a seminar on Dealing With Difficult People at the 2011 College of Community Association Lawyers Conference, held in Las Vegas Nevada.
Lincoln just returned from teaching a course on Risk Management in Santa Ana, CA. In March, May and June, Lincoln taught courses for CAI on Communications in Community Associations (Phoenix, AZ); Risk Management (Lebanon, N.H.) and on the Essentials of Community Association Management (Chicago, IL).
Lincoln wil be teaching the Essentials of Community Association Management in Natick, MA on March 8-10, 2012: Community Association Governance at the CAI Annual Conference at the end of April, 2012, and Risk Management in San Diego, CA on June 28 and 29.
Lincoln will also be presenting as a member of the "Panel of Pundits" at the College of Community Association Lawyers Annual Conference, to be held in Palm Springs, CA on January 26-28, 2012.

Seminar on Utah Community Association Law Changes --
We're in the process of compiling and scheduling a series of condominium law educational courses, dealing with the wide-ranging and significant changes to the Utah Condomimium Act and the Utah Community Association Act that were adopted by the 2011 Utah Legislature.
Significant changes were made to the insurance, reserve and registration requirements for condomimiums; in light of the changes, we presented a three-hour course on the changes, held at the following locations, on the following dates:
Salt Lake City, UT -- at the Utahcondolaw learning center, 466 East 500 South, on May 14, 2011;
South Jordan, UT -- at the Daybreak Community Center, 4544 West Harvest Moon Drive South Jordan, Utah 84095, on May 28, 2011;
Salt Lake City, UT -- at the Gateway West tower, at the request of representatives of the City Center, on June 7, 2011;
And, we'll teach another course in Park City, UT -- at the Ascend Insurance Offices, 3247 Santa Fe Road, on June 11, 2011.
